EDUCATION | 03. GENESIS OF SEDIMENTARY ROCKS

Duration: 4.5h

Description In this programme, students delve deeper into the study of sedimentary rocks - from weathering and erosion processes to the compaction and cementation of sediments. Through direct observation of samples, interpretation of sedimentary structures and analysis of depositional environments, participants will understand how these rocks are formed and what they reveal about the Earth's geological past. As part of the Terras de Cavaleiros Geopark, the programme highlights places where these formations can be observed and interpreted in the field. A scientific experience that links theory with the reality of the territory!
