Duration: 4.5h
Description This programme challenges students to understand the geological processes responsible for the transformation of rocks: metamorphism. By observing real samples, interpreting structures and analysing the factors of pressure, temperature and time, participants explore how metamorphic rocks form and what they reveal about the conditions inside the Earth. Monte de Morais, with its unique examples, serves as a natural laboratory for consolidating this knowledge. An essential programme for understanding how the Earth is constantly changing - even on the scale of millions of years.
