Duration: 5h
Description This programme promotes an integrated approach between geology, ecology and sustainability, leading students to explore how geodiversity - the variety of geological formations, soils and natural processes - supports and influences the ecosystem services that society depends on: climate regulation, water purification, soil fertility, among others. Through observation in the field and analysing concrete cases in the territory of the Terras de Cavaleiros Geopark, students develop environmental assessment skills and understand the need to preserve both biodiversity and geodiversity. A programme aligned with the global challenges of sustainability and the building of an informed ecological and geoscientific awareness.
