Description: This programme provides secondary school students with an opportunity to explore in depth one of the most emblematic geosites in the Terras de Cavaleiros Geopark. Monte de Morais, recognised for its geological complexity and scientific importance, reveals tectonic, metamorphic and magmatic processes that date back to deep geological eras. Through analysis of outcrops, interpretation of geological maps and laboratory activities, participants will develop advanced skills in structural geology and petrology, contextualising Monte de Morais in the regional and global geological panorama. An experience that challenges critical and scientific thinking, essential for anyone interested in Earth and environmental sciences.
