Cultural identity is evidenced by the preservation of traditions, the richness of gastronomy, regional products and the memories of the people. There are several associations in the municipality that provide forms of art, such as dance, theater or music.
The Cultural Center is the center of Macedonian culture, offering a diverse program – theater, music, dance and exhibitions – designed for the population, and starring local, regional and national artists.
Events such as the Hunting and Tourism Fairs and the S. Pedro Business Fair, Entrudo Chocalheiro, Remembering Traditions with Ceifa and Malha in Morais and the International Traditional Music Festival are great business cards.
The territory of Geopark Terras de Cavaleiros also has an enviable dynamic in terms of Cultural Groups: AJAM - Macedonian Artists Youth Association; Associação Potrica – Cultural Action Group of the Northeast of Trás-os-Montes; March 25th Band; Latos de Bagueixe Band; Brinço Philharmonic Band; Wing Drums; Caretos de Podence; Vale da Porca Fanfare; Cantarolar Group; Grupo Coral Macedense; Cultural and Recreational Group of the Casa do Povo de Macedo de Cavaleiros; Singing Group from the Professor's House; Arcas Traditional Song Group; Morais Theater Group; Mira Bornes Group; Toca a Bombar Group; Pauliteiros de Salselas; the MIC Youth Group (Marians of the Immaculate Conception).
