PATRIMÓNIO RELIGIOSO | 78. SÃO PAIO CHAPEL

It has a quadrangular structure with a broken arched roof, also with four sides, made of schist.
The chapel is dedicated to São Paio, a Christian martyr who was beheaded for refusing to convert to Islam. In the nineteenth-century image preserved inside the chapel, we can see an open wound on his neck, and in his hand he holds a sword and a palm, symbols of his martyrdom.
