In 1993, JMV Pastry was born, a family-owned company focused on the food industry. Its privileged location in the heart of the city makes it a must-see for all tourists who want to get in touch with the traditions of Macedo de Cavaleiros.
During these 28 years it has expanded, and today we have 6 houses open to the public.
As a company located in Trás-os-Montes, when you visit our home, you can count on typical products from this region, so full of magnificent flavors that will stay in your memory forever. From folar, empadas (chicken and veal), economics, sponge cake, calço, donuts and also a variety of bread, olive oil ball, king cake, escangalhado king cake, and typical sweets (Macedense, almonds, among many others). You can count on a unique flavor experience, without a doubt the ideal place to taste and thus get to know our culture better. Olive oil, almonds, nuts, sausages (alheira, linguiça, salpicão, butelo and cheeses), ham, a variety of homemade sweets, wines, are all products from our region, you can find them at "Casa da Aldeia". You can also enjoy our famous Careto, at our pizzeria Beladoce "o Beto", every Thursday. This dish was inspired by UNESCO's cultural heritage.
All these specialties, with characteristics that differentiate them from the others, have made these establishments successful, thanks to everyone involved, from those who produce, to those who sell at the counter and until it reaches the mouth of each customer.
