UNESCO Geoparks - Portugal, in partnership with Turismo de Portugal, promote the "1st UNESCO World Geoparks Photography Contest".
This contest is open to all who wish to participate. The photographs submitted for the competition must be captured in one of the five Portuguese Geoparks recognized by UNESCO:Naturtejo, Arouca, Azores, Terras de Cavaleiros and Estrela.

On May 11th, within the scope of the Aesthetic and Artistic Education Program, the Macedo de Cavaleiros Group of Schools in partnership with the Terras de Cavaleiros Geopark provided one of the 3rd year classes, of the 1st cycle, with an activity on biodiversity with the Visual Arts and Music components.

The “Route of Mines and Mining and Geological Points of Interest in Portugal” is a joint initiative of the General Directorate of Energy and Geology – DGEG, EDM – Empresa de Desenvolvimento Mineiro, SA and thirty-eight entities.
