Description: In this programme, pupils travel to the old Murçós Mines, a site that bears witness to the connection between humankind and the earth’s resources. Through a guided tour and educational activities, they will learn about the history of mining in the region, the minerals that were extracted there, and the impact of this activity on the landscape and the lives of local communities. Combining science, history and citizenship, this programme raises participants’ awareness of the responsible use of natural resources and the preservation of industrial heritage. A real lesson about the Earth... and about the past!
