Fraga da Pegada Beach, located in the Protected Landscape of the Azibo Reservoir, offers excellent conditions for enjoying nature in complete safety and tranquility. It is a beach that has been consecutively awarded the Blue Flag by the Blue Flag Association for the Environment and Education – ABAAE and the Accessible Flag due to its excellent accessibility conditions for people with reduced mobility, as well as the Gold Medal awarded by the Quercus Association. With a vast stretch of sand and clear waters, this beach is ideal for practicing non-motorized water sports and “beach sports”, as it has a sports complex where you can play volleyball, beach soccer, sailing, tennis, basketball, among others. The water is clear and warm (usually above 22–24°C), surrounded by a vast lawn that invites you to relax. During the summer months, the number of visitors is higher, but at other times of the year it remains a charming place for walks, picnics or simply admiring the landscape.
