RELIGIOUS HERITAGE: FROM THE IMMATERIAL TO THE MATERIAL
The Church of Sesulfe features Renaissance architecture that dates back to the first half of the 16th century. In the nave, on the Gospel side, there is a small side chapel that was built in 1667 by Captain General Manuel Pinto Pereira. Currently, on the altar of this chapel is the image of Our Lady of Flowers, which was venerated in the Convent of Flowers, which was closed in 1834. The triumphal arch and two altars, in gilded and polychrome carving, are dedicated to Our Lady of Fátima and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
