A Renaissance and Baroque temple with a single nave. Inside, the side altarpieces are in Baroque carving and the main altarpiece is in the early Johannine style.
The chapel of St. Zeno stands out on the gospel side. Also noteworthy is the small niche superimposed on the left side of the door on the north side with the image of Our Lady of the Assumption, patron saint of the church of Castelãos.
At the foot of the church is the high choir and underneath the choir is the baptismal font.
