JMV pastelaria was founded in 1993 as a family-run business focused on the food industry. Its privileged location in the heart of the city makes it a must for all tourists who want to get in touch with the traditions of Macedo de Cavaleiros.
Over the last 28 years, the company has expanded and now has 6 houses open to the public.
As a company within the Terras de Cavaleiros Geopark, when you visit their houses you can count on typical products from this region full of magnificent flavors that will stay in your memory forever. From the folar, the pies (chicken and veal), the económicos, the pão-de-ló, the calço, the rosquilhas and also a variety of bread, olive oil balls, bolo-rei, bolo-rei escangalhado, and typical sweets (Macedense, almendrados, among many others). You can count on a unique experience of flavors, undoubtedly the ideal place to taste and get to know our culture better. Olive oil, almonds, walnuts, sausages (alheira, linguiça, salpicão, butelo and cheeses), ham, a variety of homemade sweets, wines, all products from our region, can be found at “Casa da Aldeia”. You can also enjoy the famous Careto at the Beladoce “o Beto” pizzeria every Thursday. This dish was inspired by UNESCO's cultural heritage.
