The Dona Antónia restaurant is located in the center of Macedo de Cavaleiros, in a century-old house, the former Prazeres boarding house.
Considered one of the best restaurants in the region, it boasts a rustic and engaging décor, with several old photographs of Macedo de Cavaleiros and objects used by our grandmothers in their traditional kitchens.
They pride themselves on their careful cooking, both in presentation and in the selection of ingredients. They offer a selection of typical dishes from Trás-os-Montes such as: “miminhos á Dona Antónia”, “posta”, “alheira”, “lombelo em adobo”, ‘casulas’, “cabrito” (kid goat) and game dishes, especially the famous wild boar.
