ROUTES | 02. ROTA DO RIO MACEDO

The Small Route of the Macedo River begins and ends in the village of Arcas. In this village, you can see the Solar das Arcas, the Mother Church, and the fountain. Leaving Arcas, the route passes by the Chapel of Nosso Senhor dos Passos, beginning its circular component. It continues through agricultural mosaics, beginning its descent until it reaches the Macedo River. Along the river, the route reaches the village of Nozelos, where the pillory stands out, and, on leaving the village, the Church of Nossa Senhora de Assunção, dating from the 16th century. The route returns to the village of Arcas via an almost constant climb, first on asphalt and then on a dirt road.
