ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE | 05. BANRESES BRIDGE

It is located on the River Azibo in the parish of Vale da Porca. It was probably built in the Middle Ages and rebuilt in the Modern Age. It is characterised by a horizontal deck over a single round arch to facilitate access to the bridge.
It allowed the people of the village of Banreses to move between the banks of the River Azibo, giving them access to the agricultural fields they cultivated and worked with their animals.
