RELIGIOUS HERITAGE | 43. CHURCH OF SAINT VINCENT

18th century church, inside the triumphal arch is covered in gilded and polychrome carvings with two niches containing sculptures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady. The side walls and ceiling of the main chapel are covered in wooden coffers painted with representations of the apostles, saints and plant motifs, attributed to the painter Damião Rodrigues Bustamante. The main altarpiece, in gilded and polychrome carving, in Baroque style, decorated with plant and wine-related motifs. In the altarpiece we highlight the image of Saint Vincent and, also, the Servants of Saint Vincent, two black invitation figures, dating from the mid-17th century.
