Rectangular in plan, small in size and decoratively bare, the architecture of the São Sebastião chapel is popular. The main façade is extremely simple, consisting only of a portal framed in granite with straight lines and a single-span bell tower on the gable topped by a cross.
The interior is not as modest as the exterior. The triptych, in gilded and polychrome woodcarving in the rocaille style, is notable for the various panels with plant ornaments in medium relief and others painted in oil. This work is dated 1758 and signed by Damião Rodrigues Bustamante, a painter from Valladolid with extensive work produced and scattered throughout many churches in the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros. We can classify him as a secondary and surplus painter in Valladolid, who, finding good work opportunities in the region, settled here with his family.
