RELIGIOUS HERITAGE: FROM THE IMMATERIAL TO THE MATERIAL
This 18th-century Baroque temple has a nave, chancel and sacristy. Inside, there is a baptismal font and late-Baroque gilded wood altarpieces dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady of Fatima.
The chancel altarpiece, in gilded and polychrome carving with green, pink and beige marbling, is decorated with plant elements. In the center is a throne with three steps, with a cloudy background and two putti where the image of Saint Michael is enthroned. The ceiling of the chancel, in a false barrel vault made of painted wood, with fifteen coffered ceilings, has St. Michael the Archangel as its central motif and representations of the Evangelists at the corners.
