The Municipal Museum of the Order of the Knights Templar and National Identity is the result of a collaboration between the Terras Quentes Association and Macedo de Cavaleiros Town Council. Its theme is the history of the Order of the Temple, its importance in founding the Kingdom of Portugal, maintaining its borders (especially the borders of Trás-os-Montes and its relevance), implementing military techniques and the symbolism still present in our country today.
