A geosite that floods the eye and challenges the senses. Located on the southern slope of the Serra de Bornes, the “Panorâmica Bornes Sul” viewpoint offers a view of the Vilariça Fault beyond the territory of the Terras de Cavaleiros Geopark. In the distance, you can see the great valley of the Vilariça depression, bordered by an abrupt fault escarpment to the east. The Vilariça Fault stretches for 250 km, from Portelo, north of Bragança, to the central massif of the Serra da Estrela.
