NATURAL PATRIMONY | 06. BIODIVERSITY STATION

There are 43 species of diurnal butterflies out of the 135 known in mainland Portugal. The Santa Combinha Biodiversity Station trail is a circular pedestrian route, which begins and ends at the viewpoint next to the village of Santa Combinha, and which follows the Ricardo Magalhães Trail for 2.6 km (a total of 4.1 km). The entire trail is well marked with orientation signs and information panels that will help you identify some of the most common species of fauna and flora in this Biodiversity Station, and will certainly help increase your knowledge and curiosity about the world of insects.
