RELIGIOUS HERITAGE: FROM THE IMMATERIAL TO THE MATERIAL
The building of the Church of the Divine Lord of the Holy Cross, as it stands, may date back to the early 18th century, but it underwent expansion work during the 19th and 20th centuries, the last of which is recorded on the façade, between the two arches that make up the bell tower (1963). The walls are made of masonry but are completely plastered, with only the granite visible on the window frames, the main and secondary entrances and other small surfaces. However, despite these recent dates, there are at least two pieces which date back much further than this and which contrast sharply with the already poor interior, which has now been tremendously damaged by the intervention it underwent in 1998. The pieces, one in granite (a baptismal font) and the other (a Mannerist painting) date back to the early 17th century.
