Geosite located at the southern end of the Serra da Nogueira, in the NW sector of the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros, where there is a high diversity of geological features. The area is home to the Pombares granite, which characterises the morphology of this sector of the mountain, especially the tor and castle kopje type geoforms (such as in the Pena Mourisca vg) through which it is possible to identify the typical diaclasation of granite rocks. It is also a panoramic point from which you can see the general morphology of the municipality, namely the Vilariça Fault and its extension to the base of the Serra de Bornes, the Azibo reservoir, Monte de Morais and a series of stepped surfaces.
